Philadelphia Zoning

Are you interested in "the zoning of a specific parcel" in Philadelphia?  Do you crave access to "all previous applications, approved uses and site drawings for a parcel of land .. an on-line interface that allows individuals to search and view documents and drawings related to specific properties?" Look here. The link works (as of 24 June 2010).

Note: It look a physical trip to Licenses and Inspections to figure this out (i.e., I waited for about 45 minutes and then I was handed a piece of paper with the link written out on it).

If you don't pick the above link, here are the steps you have to take if you're interested in web information on zoning in the City of Philadelphia.

1. Go to the main City of Philadelphia website:

2. Click on "Licenses and Inspections" (is there any other place on earth where you have to go to "Licenses and Inspections" if you're interested in zoning information?)

3. Then click on "Zoning."

4. Identify whether you're a "Business" or "Homeowner."

5. Click on "Location and Zoning."

6. Click on "Zoning" ... again (different hyperlink)

7. When you get to that page, you might get excited about "Learn about the zoning of a specific parcel ... Access all previous applications, approved uses and site drawings for a parcel of land.  This is an on-line interface that allows individuals to search and view documents and drawings related to specific properties." It's a broken link (as of 24 June 2010).

Again, the link you want is here.
